The Point.50 is the Two.Two’s harder hitting bigger brother, designed around the same lightweight alloy frame but with a Rock Shox XC32 120mm travel suspension fork up front. Whether it’s a day at one of the trail centres or planning your own route across the hills, the Two.Two can certainly deliver. The Two.Two stands out as a great bike to get you started in the world of mountain biking and definitely offers a great spec for the money. Just when you think that that’s it for the good stuff, the Two.Two is finished off nicely with a set of Schwalbe Smart Sam 2.25” all-terrain tyres. A set of Shimano M395 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors give you plenty of breaking power, and the Shimano Deore 27 speed gearing system with Truvativ triple chainring cranks ensures a great range of gears and a smooth ride when you’re on the trail. The rest of the bike is oozing with top brand components, which is great to see in this price range. The geometry ensures you can saddle up for as long as you need and lets you climb just as well as you can descend. The frame is built from lightweight aluminium and designed with one-piece wishbone seat stays to give more forgiveness over rougher terrain. Offering enough travel to take on challenging terrain, whilst the turn-key lockout feature allows you to switch the forks to fully rigid for tackling road or ascents. It’s not often at this price tag you will see a Rock Shox suspension fork sitting up front, and the XC28 does a great job. The Two.Two is a straight talking hardtail mountain bike with 100mm front suspension.
